PRESENCE OF MIND - This course examines what it really means to Be Present; what takes us away from the Present; learning, through the continuing practice of Mindfulness, to observe what distracts us and let it pass.

FREEDOM IN ACTION - This course will examine Action using Mindfulness to examine the questions; what really is an action, what are the constituent elements of an action, how is it possible to act in a manner that is liberating rather than binding.,

THE CIRCLE OF NINE POINTS - The circle of nine points is sometimes referred to as the enneagram. Mr. Leon MacLaren, the founder of the School, was introduced to the enneagram as it was expounded by Gurdjieff and Ouspensky. Later on, when he met Sri Shantananda Sarasvati, he referred to the Advaita system of the nine elements by which creation is both brought into existence and dissolved.

6 Week Introduction to Meditation Course for Current Philosophy Students

Contemplative or reflective practices are common in philosophical and spiritual traditions in the East and the West. The general idea is to be introduced to reflection by allowing the mind to rest on a statement of truth and allow its meaning and significance to enter the being.

Practice, devotion and service build on the proposition that acting in accord with the will of the Absolute, the laws of the universe makes it easier to experience sat, cit and ānanda (knowledge, consciousness and bliss).
